"I’ve worked at Caffè Nero since 2004. One of the things I love most about my job is seeing my team progress in the same way I have. To develop my knowledge, and be a better manager, I recently completed a Coaching Apprenticeship. My aim has always been to put people at the front of everything else and the development programme has taught me how to do that in the best possible way, in line with the values I share with the Company."
A Place To
Learn and Grow
Maybe you're looking to take the next step on your career path? Perhaps you want a move into the growing world of coffee?
We are so proud to say that over 80% of our wonderful Store Managers were promoted from within – that’s always been the Nero way. And it doesn’t stop there – many of our Area and Regional Managers grew their careers in store, and it’s the same for our Head Office teams too.
The opportunities for development are endless, and every year hundreds of people move into new roles with us.
There’s the chance of career progression for everyone that works at Caffè Nero.
Our Roles
From Barista to Manager and beyond, you’ll receive clear and practical training – such as perfecting coffee making skills, people management and delivering a top rate customer experience in a supportive and structured way. We welcome and encourage everyone at Nero to contribute ideas and share feedback.
Barista
Our Baristas are the heartbeat of Caffè Nero. As well as making amazing coffee for our customers, they make a difference to their day too.
You don’t need any experience to become a Barista (we provide all the training you need), but what’s essential is that you love being part of a team, have a great attitude and bags of energy.
Shift Leader
As a Shift Leader, you will support in the running of the store – leading the team, giving great customer service and delivering the very best standards of coffee and food
Ideally you will have some experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader – but if you haven’t got that don’t worry, we’d still love to hear from you.
Assistant Manager
Our Assistant Managers have a vital role, providing support to the Store Manager with a wide range of key store activities and deputising for them in their absence.
Many of our Assistant Managers are on a career path to Store Manager, and this role gives great experience to make that possible.
If you pride yourself on keeping customers happy through fantastic service, whilst learning and growing in a great team, this could be the right job for you.
